 Cavalry Ambulance a full service ambulance company providing Basic Life Support Service and Nurse staffed Critical Care Transport. Cavalry Ambulance is always looking for the best and brightest Nurses, EMT's and Dispatchers.

Employment requirements:

EMT's: 

  • Current California EMT card (any county)
  • American Heart Association CPR card
  • California drivers license
  • Ambulance drivers license
  • Medical examiners card
  • Pass a written exam and skills verification
  • Oral interview

Nurse: 

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Critical Care Transport Nurse (CCT RN), responsibilities include providing critical care and advanced cardiac life support to critically ill and injured patients being transported by ambulance. The CCT RN is able to perform patient assessments, treatments and monitoring of critical level patients during inter-facility transports. The CCT RN has the ability to independently operate and monitor a multi-channel IV pump, cardiac monitor, and ventilator. The CCT RN must have the ability to make independent decisions and possess critical thinking skills to maintain or improve patient health status during transport.

  • Requirements:

    Proof of over 2 years of full-time experience working in critical care as a RN within the last 5 years (i.e. ICU, ER, PACU).

    Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

    Unencumbered and current California RN license.

    A valid Driver’s License.

    Trauma certification expected within six months of hire (TNCC, PHTLS, ATLS, etc…).

    Preferred certifications include CEN, MICN, EMT-P and/or CCRN.

Dispatcher/EMT:

  • All Cavalry dispatchers must have field experience therefore the EMT requirements apply. 
  • A working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Business phone etiquette
  • EMT Certification Preferred

Cavalry Ambulance provides state of the art equipment and uniforms. All employees are required to attend orientation and training before being placed with an FTO (field training officer). Completion of field training marks the start of your probationary period. After completion of your probation and comprehensive training you will be eligible to receive an EMS badge.
